Good Quality Compact & Low Mic Stand May 12, 2011
By Lotus-Seven This is a nicely made, sturdy Chinese mic stand. Both the center column and the boom have (2) telescoping sections, so it can be set low enough to position a mic in front of a cello or a guitar speaker stack. However, if fully extended with the boom in a vertical position it could be used (in a pinch) for supporting a vocal mic.
The stand I received was slightly different than the one in the illustration in that if has a large black plastic knob on the boom pivot instead of the chrome sliding handle shown in the pic. I'd consider the knob an improvement since those sliding handles can vibrate and rattle. The stand is very well finished with what appears to be black power-coat, or very good quality paint. All the locking screws are high quality and work smoothly and hold well.
The (3) folding legs have nice rubber tips with non-slip serrations, so the stand stays where you place it and is not easy to knock over. The only downside is those rubber tips have a very strong industrial chemical smell that's characteristic of many rubber products from China. I really hope it will diminish with time.
Perfect height for recording elevated amps. Just what I needed. Feb 04, 2012
By King Detrick This stand does the job it is supposed to do and does it well. Adjustable enough to handle any amp Miking situation regardless of size. I have an amp stand that elevates my amp about 4 inches off the ground and tilted slightly up. I have a 15 Watt Line 6, 35 Watt Orange, and 100 watt Fender, the Mic stand can reach any spot needed on all of these. If you Mic amps for recording or even live shows YOU NEED THIS MIC STAND

Great mic stand....bad shipping.... Mar 06, 2009
By T. J. Stewart
"TJ"
The package arrived on time but was damaged and the stand was slightly damaged as well....it was shipped using USPS....
There were nothing more than a few superficial scratches but that reflects poor packaging....The stand works great and functions the way it should....
Although there were issues I would recommend this seller but do not use USPS to ship....

Broken Collet Sep 08, 2011
By D. Goodwin
"in love with Canon and Fender products"
FYI, the collet on these stands is the ring thing that you rotate to tighten up the boom extension. Unfortunately, is it cheap plastic and arrived broken.
