5finally, a volume pedal that doesn't suck tone!  Jun 22, 2010 By airbags
i had only recently come to determine that i needed a volume pedal in my collection of stomp boxes. i had initially purchased a dunlop high gain (failure), and then tried out a few ernie balls (all failures), and even had the chance to try the new dunlop dvp1 (serious failure). all suffered from the same issue regarding the dreaded tone suck. while i have not traditionally been a morley fan, i have nothing but fabulous things to say about the pvo+. there is absolutely no tone suckage between my modded deluxe fat strat, my effects chain and my amp, or even from guitar -> pvo+ -> amp. if this would have failed, i'd have gone after a george dennis, but i figured those would have been a bit more difficult to come by. the morley's a keeper!

5Quiet Quality  Dec 21, 2011 By Versatek6
This is my second Morley volume pedal. My Stereo Volume that I bought used in about 1998 gave up recently for some unknown reason. Everything can fail. C'est la vie. I decided that even if I could troubleshoot it, having another was a good thing.

The new one has the same build quality as the prior; very sturdy and well finished. The pedal action is smooth. I like the switchable minimum volume circuit very much. The old stereo model had this feature, but it was unswitched and did not perform not as well as this one. The base plate of the new model is bare metal, while the old one was finished like the upper. Mine is Velcro-ed to a board, so it is unlikely to ever see dampness. For someone concerned, a coat of spray paint resolves the issue.

I can hear no coloration or loss of response when it is in my signal chain, either with guitar or bass; I have not yet used it with keyboard, but I expect the same. It is very aurally transparent. I am looking forward to many years of solid performance.

5Volume swells galore  Oct 16, 2011 By george H miller
Great product. The only problem is I have gone volume swell crazy. I assume after a while I will use it appropriately. In the mean time I am having a lot of fun. Silent operation. Solid construction. I got an adapter so I don't run through batteries. If you are looking for a volume pedal this is a great economical way to go.

5Works Great  Apr 25, 2011 By Rob
This is a very simply pedal. Built strong. No tone suck. The transition is quick but not as quick as my old Morley distortion/Wha volume pedal. Easy to get use to. I've had mine for about a month now. I'm confidant it won't have sound bleed over in the off position like my Ernie Ball jr did after a year of use.

4Morley Optical Volume Plus  Mar 16, 2011 By skelley
I bought it to control volume while switching between playing rhythm and lead and it works great for that. I actually wish I could contorl the swell of volume a little more for ambient type effects, but maybe I'll develop that skill as I get more used to using this unit.
