Fender MIM Stratocaster Dec 31, 2011

The guitar that I received from 8th Street Music (through Amazon) was exactly as advertised. Yes, it is made in Mexico. Yes, it is a real Fender Stratocaster. I have not played an American made Strat so I can not give an accurate comparison, but the instrument that I received was of excellent quality and has exceeded my expectations. I aquired a Squire Strat through a friend after buying this instrument and the difference in quality is obvious, the MIM being far superior. Don't buy a Squire, you will be disappointed, and/or handicapped in your learning experience. I am not an expert on Strats but I don't see how a US Strat can be worth double the price of my MIM unless M.I.N.O.. If you are a beginning artist, as I, this is what you are looking for. All components on the MIM guitar, can be replaced with the same components used on the US guitar as needed.

This guitar sounds and plays great. Whenever I plug the guitar into my amp, I know I am going to get extraordinary sounds. The whammy bar is a great twist for more advanced players. I would not recommend the use of the whammy bar to beginning guitarists because it can cause problems tuning the guitar. The price is a very reasonable price. I have been playing this guitar for almost two years now and its beautiful and clear sound is still there. In a nutshell, this guitar is great for musicians who just want to have fun, or anyone who wants to try something new.

I didn't need to do anything, I just play and enjoy the sounds of this guitar. You can play Jazz,Blues or Rock like Feetwood Mac, Eric Clapton , Iron Maiden or Red hot Chilli Peppers.
I love the Stratocaster with scratches, dents, etc. Mine came this way and I love it.
Choice one according to your pocket and your budget,made in USA or in Mexico, but get your Fender Stratocaster, a real one not cheap copy, please.
