| | Description | The Reissue Blues DeVille 410 is a vintage-style tube amp with boutique tone at a great price that many pro rock, country and blues players have used to superb effect. While its newer cousin, the Hot Rod DeVille, has many modern refinements, more and more enthusiasts continue to request the warm tone, unique circuitry, classic features and sharp look of the original version. It pumps 60 watts into four 10" blue alnico-magnet Eminence speakers fueled by two 6L6 Groove Tubes output tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. Its two channels (normal with bright switch, and drive) are voiced for classic blues, country and rock; other features include Fender spring reverb, effects loop, two-button channel footswitch, tweed covering, chicken head knobs and chrome control panel. | |

Great for Blues, Rock, and Country May 10, 2012

I always wanted a Bassman 4x10 but could not afford one. Fate was kind to me and I got a Blues DeVille brand new dirt cheap (long story). The tone is simply astonishing. Country, Rock, Jazz, classic pop, anything you want. And with the right effects (I have a Fender Mustang Floorboard) you can get it to sound like anything: From Beatles to Brujeria.
I was not happy with the Drive channel, it was weak. Thin sounding, no bottom, no umph, and not very much distortion. After doing some research I replaced the stock 12AX7s with Groove Tubes GT-12AX7-Cs and the Drive channel now sounds equally amazing. With humbuckers I get a late 60s 70s classic rock/crunch sound. With single coils/Stratocaster I get a hendrix/SRV blues tone. And my Tele growls like a wild beast!
This is a great amp. The 60 full tube watts combined with four ten inch speakers will be loud enough for any gig you play. I've yet to turn it past 2 other than to annoy my neighbors.
