Amazing bang for the buck! Oct 21, 2008

I have had the Blackheart BH5-112 for two weeks now and I am happy to report that it is an amazing amp at an amazing price. It is designed to get a natural tube overdrive sound at a very reasonable volume level. You can sound like you are cranking your amp at full volume and yet not disturb your neighbors. Pyotr Belov is a brilliant designer and he has done an amazing job with this new Blackheart line of amps. This amp would probably be a great deal, even at twice the price. It is all tube and substantially built. There is absolutely nothing cheap about it. But the bottom line is IT SOUNDS GREAT!!! Highly recommended!

Grab this amp then go to ebay and grab some old US tubes and you have an AWESOME amp. Sounds as good or better than my old Marshall. Mike it up!

This is a low powered, all tube amplifier, that is great for practice and very small venues. I have several, higher powered amps, of different origin, and this one performs in an adequate fashion; equal to those costing much more. It works great with effects, in a chain, and would probably be better with a loop, but I could not say for sure, as it does not have one. This little combo is lots of fun and versatile. It is easy to move and easy to operate. In today's climate of high technology, an amp of this type is welcomed by this older gentleman. I would highly recommend.

I love love love this amp. Clear crisp and loud if you want it to be. The overdrive works great! I run a line 6 dm4 through it and it handles the demand very well. I think one could pay a lot more for the same amount of amp found in my Blackheart!
