Perfect Tuner for Stage musicians Apr 12, 2010
By W. Savoy

This is a newer tuner by Boss with double the accuracy from their old tuners. Boss added more lights to the front panel so it is easier to see how off you are out of tune. The battery is easy to change (no tools needed) and the lights are pretty bright to see in the sun. Of course, the pedal mutes the instrument when it's tapped, so this is great to tune up between songs. I use this for my violin, paired with the Boss EQ pedal, which makes the perfect combo for a musician on stage. Runs on a single 9 volt that lasts many many hours. Just remember to UNPLUG the input 1/4" jack when you're not going to use it for a while, otherwise it will drain the battery

Best way to go Jun 24, 2010
By Benjamin J. Zornes

The boss tu-3 chromatic tuner is the BEST way to go for live performance. It gives you as a guitarist the ability to switch guitars quickly and without the dreaded "unplugging sound." I use it with my acoustic guitar and it makes tuning in-set so smooth and effortless. Worth the money!

Boss TU-3 Dec 27, 2011
By Rickbarr I have been useing boss (Roland)products for years and had purchased the boss TU 2 about 8 - 10 years ago I think ?? Never stopped working (perfectly mind you) after floods of beer had been washed over it. Dropped, Thrown, kicked, and stomped on thousands of times over the years of constant gigging. I actually accidently left it at a venue last year and someone permenantly borrowed it ; so as far as I know it's still working. I purchased the TU 3 and have had nothing but Glitches with the unit from the day I bought it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it takes 15 seconds before it starts picking up the string vibrations, sometimes it picks up on the house P.A. if theres a C.D. playing and your near the bass bins while your tuneing up before a gig.. It's just not good.. What the heck is going on with Boss these days...

Boss TU-3 Chromatic Pedal Tuner Jul 25, 2011
By John Foy As a professional musician I would find it hard to find a tuner pedal has good as the Boss TU-3. It has a nice bright led indicator that works well in bright sun light or stage lights. Most pedal tuners are hard to see in these situations. It does everything I would expect a tuner to do and is very easy to use on stage. I have just replaced my first Boss pedal tuner after 8 tuff road years. It still works well, but is scared up and needs some TLC. I will hand it down to a needy guitarist or use it in my home studio. I know that it will last a long, long time.Boss pedals are strong and last for years. I would reconmend the Boss TU-3 to any guitarist or Basses that is in the market for a exellent tuner pedal.

Why did I wait this long to buy?! May 28, 2010
By Solaceinsorrow The title pretty much says it all. This is such a simple, great tuner. The streaming light effect is extremely cool yet totally practical! Great deal.
