5Well worth the price.  May 28, 2010 By T. Johnson
For those complaining about non-functioning units, when I got mine I couldn't get any sound from the output. When I put the guitar cable in there was about 1/8th inch of room left between the jack and the pedal but it felt like it was in all the way. I tried pushing it in with a bit more force and it finally snapped in the rest of the way. Then the pedal worked fine. Now it snaps in with no effort. A great pedal, $33 for a brand new circuit and components vs. $160 for a 30 year old Boss DM-2. It really does sound amazing. If you are concerned about the plastic case, knobs and jacks, find someone with soldering skills to put it in a sturdier housing. No regrets. This pedal sounds as good any basic analog delay in my collection (EHX, Boss, Ibanez).

4It's cheap and it self-oscillates.  Feb 24, 2011 By nick ring
Cheap in construction and price--it's a Behringer. Analog (and analog-style) delays have a short delay time and this one is no exception. It feeds back incredibly easily--crank up the feedback and the intensity and you're in self-oscillating heaven. I sometimes use it as a sound source with just a 1/4" cable (or an RCA>1/4" adapter) plugged in to power it up, then control the feedback and feed it to other effects for noisy fun!

5Excellent for the price!  Feb 07, 2012 By M. Timmins "Joe Consumer"
I decided to try this pedal since it was so affordable. The sound quality is excellent and seems to ring true; as in, no frequencies seem to be lost going through this pedal. I have tried this pedal with guitar (can dial in a good slap back and endless drone noises), Moog synthesizer, a Hammond A-100 organ with an effect loop built in going through a Leslie, Rhodes electric piano, and several basses. It does feel a little flimsy but is very quiet even when powered by a cheap wall wart. Thumbs up for this inexpensive analogue delay!

4Good Value for Lite Usage  Aug 22, 2011 By D. Weisberg "kayak angler"
I like this pedal. It gives a good delay at a great price. I play guitar for my own enjoyment, so my Behringer VD400 stays in the house and lives a sheltered life, similar to my chihuahua.

On the other hand, if you play in a band it might be worth it to buy a sturdier pedal, or at least have another one as a backup. I've had no problems with mine, except the extremely bright blue LED burned out.
