Works well for the price Feb 17, 2010
By Bluemagic365 When I first got this pedal, i wasn't impressed with it. After you turn the threshold knob past 12 o'clock it stopped reducing noise. The mute worked perfectly right off the bat though. I first had my seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz hooked up to it and my Line 6 echo park next to it. But after i rearranged my pedals around a bit, it made a total difference. It felt like i had the boss NS2. I almost feel like you have to set any noise reduction pedal at a specific spot to get the best reduction. Those of of you who are afraid of it being plastic: it's a noise reduction pedal so it shouldn't be stepped on a lot anyway. I will honestly say i won't buy any effect behringer stuff. but i recommend the nr 300 for budget players. You just have to know the science of setting up your pedals.

It's not perfect but works Sep 02, 2010
By LM It does what it says it does. This pedal does not remove all the noise unless set to mute yet it does reduce allot of noise when set to reduction and can be adjusted easy enough.

Better Than expected Aug 11, 2010
By Lenny Timons This is not the first noise gate on my board, I also have a Boss gate. I say this is better than expected, because I expected it to work just like the Boss pedal, but perhaps less well. But, in fact, it works better than the Boss, and this is because it has an indicator light to tell you when the gate is open or closed, which makes it much easier to setup. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to.

one can't fault it, really :-) Jun 17, 2010
By Dave - it's simple to operate - it does what it's made to do - it does that very well - it's bargaintastic
If you know what a noise gate is supposed to do and you think you might need one, then I highly recommend this unit.
I'm about to get a second one and put all my distortion-creating devices in the loop (other Behringer units, Rat, Big Muff, etc etc). The one I already have can stay at the end of my signal chain, just before the delays. Pretty much a must-have for recording, especially during those quiet spots :-) Thanks to this unit I have a very quiet recording setup.
Works. Apr 19, 2012
By mgeo I have a single coil strat. It made noise. Pedal Chain: I ran through a Ts9 pedal. Noise. Then through 2 distortion/fuzz pedals. Noise. I went to Guitar Center and checked out the Boss Noise Supressor, too expensive and didn't block noise too well. I figured, for a fraction of the price why not try the Behringer? (I have a 5 channel mixer from them it's a workhorse.) Plugged in the Noise Reducer- it got the job done! Some people complained about the degradation of tone. There is a slight reduction but if you learn to use the settings properly it is hardly noticeable.
Now I can spend the rest of my money on the fun pedals. I Really trust this brand. They sell barebone essentials, they don't sell you fluff to raise the prices.
